What is Gyrotonic®?
Gyrotonic® methodology is one of the most modern training systems. Invented by Hungarian born dancer, Juliu Horvath, it is now taught all around the world. The principals of Gyrotonic® embrace key elements found in Yoga, Pilates, Dance and Martial Arts. During a session every part of the body becomes active. Every exercise is synchronized with a specific breath pattern which facilitates cardiovascular rhythms. The main focus is on increasing functional ability of the spinal column, which will reduce the possibility of suffering from stress making the back less vulnerable to injuries. Mr. Horvath's specially designed equipment made from wood, aluminum and handcrafted component's allows one to enjoy continuous freedom of movement in all possible directions that the body is capable of.
The GYROTONIC® equipment adjusts to any bodily dimension and guides you through flowing, 3-dimensional, circular, spiral, twisting and undulating patterns which originate in the spine. Each movement has a corresponding flowing breathing rhythm, producing an inner and outer massage, and leaving you energized and with a renewed sense of body awareness.
